Hi all! Welcome to my blog!

I am Shobhit Garg. I am a banker by profession.
One of my biggest hobby is travelling. By travelling I mean adjusting yourself according to your surroundings, and not the surroundings according to you! Just seeing a place is different from experiencing it.
During a travel, you just let yourself go, you expose yourself to your surroundings and the environment, and let it affect you, teach you, make you realize that you are but a part of the environment, the environment which is beyond your reach... infinite... During a travel, you come face to face with yourself... you realize your true worth, your potential, you realize the God within you.
I prefer travelling countryside rather than cities. I prefer traveling to natural places rather than man-made places. I would prefer travelling alone rather than with tourists, but I prefer travelling with travellers rather than alone...
I intend to use this blog as a travelogue (as you might have guessed!). (This may include the tours which might not be in the purview of 'travelling'.) I will try to cover the history and geography of the place, and also my experiences. My travels would be mostly in the Mountains, especially the Himalayas.
Before I conclude, I would like to give my views about how travelling is actually done, according to whatever little I have experienced (the list would be updated as I gain more experience):
Happy travelling!!!

Before I conclude, I would like to give my views about how travelling is actually done, according to whatever little I have experienced (the list would be updated as I gain more experience):
- The ways: The best ways to travel are: hiking, trekking (ie travelling on foot), travelling alone or with strangers (preferably locals), etc.
- Minimum comfort: Prefer a Govt. bus rather than a luxury bus, a Sleeper class rather AC 3 Tier, a locals house, or tents for accommodation rather than a hotel, etc.
- Prepare: Carry items of necessity like emergency medicines, cellphone/satellite phone, water and food, etc. Plan a time duration, and stick to it. Prepare a map if there be a need.
- Provide Help: Do not hesitate to provide help to those in need. This may include a fellow traveller, some locals, a community, some flora or fauna... The list goes on and on.
- Confidence: Do not hesitate to talk to people. Be brave and confident about your decisions.
- Cleanliness: Do not leave anything except your footprints.
Happy travelling!!!
